ARRIVAL - VIENTIANE (D)
Upon arrival at Wattay International Airport, welcome by your local guide and transfer to hotel.
Half day city tour: Wat Sisaket, with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo which housed the famous Emerald Buddha statue, That Luang Stupa, stopping along the way to take some photos of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. Overnight in Vientiane.

VIENTIANE - LUANG PRABANG - HALF DAY CITY TOUR (B, L, D)
Transfer to Wattay Airport for flight to Luang Prabang. On arrival, welcome by your local guide and transfer to hotel to freshen up before going on a bicycle-tour to see some of the highlights of Luang Prabang: the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts the city’s oldest temples, the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roof sweeping low to the ground, representing classical Lao architecture, the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham.
End the day by climbing up Mount Phousi to explore the sacred gilded stupa and to enjoy the panoramic view of the city as well as the sun setting over the Mekong River. Descending the mountain, you will find yourself in the midst of the famous Luang Prabang Night Market, where you can find a unique selection of handmade textiles and handicrafts locally made by both ethnic Lao and hill tribe people living next Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

LUANG PRABANG - COOKING CLASS (B, L, D)
Optional: wake up early and participate in the daily morning ritual of ‘Alms Giving’, you will experience saffron-clad monks collecting offerings or ‘Alms’ from faithful local residents. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the daily procession.
Back for breakfast at your hotel, then participate to a full day cooking class by starting at the local market where your chef will explain the different herbs and spices used in Lao cooking and purchase ingredients for today’s dishes. From the market you will head out to Tamarind Gardens Cooking School set amongst fish ponds and tropical gardens.
Your today menu will include:
- Varieties of jeowbong: the fundamental Lao spicy dipping sauces
- Mok Pa, a popular dish of fish steamed with herbs in banana leaves
- Tamarind’s specialty: lemongrass stuffed with chicken & herbs
- Orlarm, Luang Prabang’s eggplant based specialty: delicious & unusual
- Dessert course: a surprise!
- And of course you’ll learn the art of perfecting sticky rice and its eating etiquette.
After the cooking class and dinner, back to town where you may join a Sunset Cruise (Nava Mekong) on the Mekong River /or/ just relax at your hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

LUANG PRABANG - ELEPHANT VILLAGE + KUANG SI FALL (B, L, D)
A 45 minutes' drive will lead you to Elephant Village, to experience elephant riding through the teak forests and along the riverside. These elephants were once employed in the logging industry.
From the Elephant Village we drive on to the stunning KuangSi Falls where you will have the opportunity to cool off with a refreshing swim in the topaz pools below the falls, walk along the forest trails and visit the Bear Sanctuary, home to Asian Bears rescued from poachers in the forests of northern Laos.
Back to Luang Prabang in late afternoon, free time to explore the night market, dine in one of the many restaurants in town or relax at the hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

LUANG PRABANG - ETHNOLOGY CENTRE - OCK POP TOK (B, L, D)
Day for the culture and handicrafts enthusiasts, beginning with a visit to The Art and Ethnology Centre to learn about the culture and history of some of the diverse ethnic groups that make up the rich tapestry of the Lao population. The Center also has a shop where you can purchase quality gifts, souvenirs and a café where you can enjoy a coffee and cake.
Continue to the Ock Pop TokLiving Crafts Centre & Shop, where you can see the silk weaving process and purchase some exquisite examples of traditional Lao textiles. The Centre has a restaurant where you can enjoy traditional and fusion dishes with the gentle melody of weaving looms humming in the background.
End the day at Yen Sabai Book and Arts Centre where you have the opportunity to participate into a traditional Paper Stenciling class (only available on Monday – Friday). Using traditional stenciling tools and patterns for the murals at Wat Xiengthong you will create your own paper stencil as a reminder of your visit to Luang Prabang.
Back to hotel. Free time to relax or self-explore. Overnight Luang Prabang.

LUANG PRABANG - LIVING LAND FARM (B, L, D)
Coachtrip to Living Land Farm, a working community farm approximately 5kms outside the town. There you will learn all about the rice growing process and have an opportunity to participate in seasonal farm activities such as identifying viable rice seeds, ploughing with a buffalo, hand planting, weeding and harvesting rice and threshing rice seed.
You may pick vegetables from the organic garden or catch fish to cook for your natural, organic lunch where you can sample a variety of local rice products.
Back to Luang Prabang. Option: participate to a local petangue game and enjoy a few Lao beers, relax at the hotel /or/ experience a spa treatment or massage. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, free until transfer to airport for departure flight.
Thank you for booking and/or travelling with Vietnam Peace Tour. These terms and conditions apply to any travel products and/or services you have booked or purchased from Vietnam Peace Tour, and govern the contractual relationship between you and Vietnam Peace Tour with respect to any such travel products and/or services (hereinafter, the “Services”).
TOURS
All of the terms and conditions below shall be applied for the individual customers. For group of 10 to up, please do not hesitate to contact us to have the best quotation and the specific group policy.
1/ Tour price for children:
- Children above 12 years old: apply the same price as an adult
- Children from 6 - under 12 years old: 75% of adult tour price (no extra bed); charged 100% as an adult tour price if an extra bed is required; airline ticket, train ticket and fast ferry ticket shall be applied the own policy for particular transportation.
- Children under 6 years old: 50% of an adult tour price (no extra bed); airline ticket, train ticket and fast ferry ticket shall be applied the own policy for particular transportation.
2/ Currency and Payment:
- All the quotations are used in Vietnamese currency and shall not be applied on public holidays.
- Payment methods:
+ Cash: can be paid directly at the head office, branches.
+ Credit card: accepted Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Union pay.

3/ Booking and Payment procedures:
All services are reserved only when deposited. For airline ticket, hotel booking, visa application, and car booking … full payment is due at the time of booking. For tour package, the payment is as following: 90 days prior to departure: 30% deposit and full payment should be received 30 days prior to departure.
4/ Confirmation: all services and tour will be confirmed by official documents sending via fax or email.
5/ Tour amendment and cancellation:
- Tour amendment or cancellation should be made in writing and should be acknowledged by us.
- All the amendments related to airline ticket, train ticket due to wrong name, time changes, or cancellation will apply the policies of particular transportation companies.
- 46 working days prior to departure, you can change the departure date and tour program. The tour price will be adjusted based on your latest request and will be applied all the surcharge of changing airline ticket, train ticket (if any). After this period, all changes will be deemed as cancellation and will be applied the following fees:
- Noticeable 45-31 working days: 10% of total tour price.
- Noticeable 15-30 working days: 50% of total tour price.
- Noticeable 7-14 working days: 75% of total tour price.
- Noticeable 6 working days or less: 100% of total tour price.
Depending on suppliers’ specific cancellation policies, the above mentioned conditions may be modified.
6/ Refund:
After commencement of travel, it is normally no refund or exchange can be made for services included in the program, which are not utilized. If the refund is allowed, a service fee will be charged to cover our administration and third party expenses.
No refund will be made to tour participant(s) who break(s) the itinerary/journey.
7/ Visa and Immigration:
- Travellers take own responsibility to check and apply Vietnamese visa before entry to Vietnam. In case you purchase our tour package, Peace Tour will support your visa grant letter to Vietnam at no cost while you have to pay the visa apply fee at the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam or at the international airport upon arrival.
- In case of personal record that you are not allowed to entry to Vietnam, the tour cancellation in article 5 will be applied.
8/ Our responsibility:
Peace Tour shall be responsible for supplying the services and accommodations offered as they relate to the land portion of the tour.
If such services and accommodations cannot be supplied due to causes beyond its control, there shall be no responsibility or liability. In this event, Peace Tour will use its best effort to supply comparable services and accommodations.
Such changes will not be considered cause for cancellation to the tour participants and the usual penalties will not be applied.
Peace Tour does not accept liability in contract or in tort for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly by 'force majeure' or other events which are beyond our control, or are not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part (such as war, civil disturbance, fire, flood, unusual climate conditions, acts of Gods, acts of government).
Flight/ train/ cruise schedule change: Any change in itinerary, delay, or cancellation by the airlines/ trains/ cruises will not be the responsibility of Peace Tour.
9/Complaint: During your tours, should any problems arise, please inform your tour guide or tour operator as soon as possible so that we can solve this for you.
We are not responsible for any complaints after 30 days from the end of the trip.
10/ Insurance:
Travel insurance: We strongly recommend that all tour participants should subscribe an adequate travel insurance policy before leaving the country of origin.
For transportation service such as airline, train, boat etc. and hotels, it already includes life insurance during the period of using service according to Vietnamese insurance law (excluded asset and health insurances).
